Welcome to UBC Writing Centre
The UBC Writing Centre offers non-credit writing courses to those who wish to improve their academic, professional, business and creative writing skills. Join us for part-time courses in preparing for the Language Proficiency Index Test (LPI), improving grammar, writing academic essays, and writing reports along with other business correspondence. In addition, we can offer private companies customized in-house business writing workshops. Many of our students find UBC Writing Centre courses a springboard to successful professional writing careers.

FOOD AND TRAVEL WRITING
Join local freelance journalist DON GENOVA in this exciting program that teaches you how to craft and sell stories from the fascinating world of food and travel.
This course gives you all the building blocks you need to become a published author, including idea generation, how to write query letters to editors and how to construct an interesting and entertaining story.
